I’ve noticed two strong themes are developing in this blog which I feel could do with some streaming now. The first encompasses various notes and thoughts about Irish trees – that is trees of note in Ireland and trees native to Ireland, in particularly the trees featured in the Tree lists of the the 8th century Bretha Comaithchesa, (usually translated as the Laws of the Neighbourhood)
- And cut and peeled a hazel wand..
- Yew, the Tree of Artefacts
- Seeking a muse in an oak tree.
- Wanderings
- St. Melruaen’s Tree
- Be friends with the night, there is nothing to fear
- Oaks of Charleville Forest
- Heartwood
The ones specific to the Brehon Laws are
- Where trees stood ..
- Seeking a muse in an oak tree.
- Yew, the Tree of Artefacts
- And cut and peeled a hazel wand..
The second results in a relatively recent fascination with all things mushroom, where again I write some notes particular to me but also give general information that might be useful for other fungi enthusiasts based in Ireland.
